Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 1, 2026

At PingBase, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our status page platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and organization details when you create an account. We also collect usage data such as page views, feature usage, and performance metrics to improve our service. Monitor check data (URLs, response times, status codes) is collected as part of the core service functionality.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and maintain the PingBase service, send notifications about incidents and maintenance, improve our platform, communicate with you about your account, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in PostgreSQL databases hosted on Supabase with encryption at rest. API keys are hashed using SHA-256 before storage. We use Clerk for authentication, which provides enterprise-grade security including SSO support. All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS 1.3.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database hosting), and optionally Pusher (real-time updates). Each service has its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

Data Retention

Monitor check data is retained for 90 days by default. Incident and maintenance records are retained for the lifetime of your account. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@pingbase.online. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management via Clerk. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics cookies are only used with your consent to help us understand how the platform is used.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your data at any time through the API. For GDPR requests or any privacy concerns, contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@pingbase.online.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or through a notice on our platform. Continued use of PingBase after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
